Bees for Peace offers a joyful, hands-on 1-week (5-day) program for children ages 5–11, designed to spark curiosity, kindness, and a lifelong love of the natural world. Our program can be offered as a stand-alone camp or woven seamlessly into existing camp schedules through individual modules.
What Will Kids Learn? Children will dive into the fascinating world of bees while having tons of fun! Along the way, they’ll explore:
How bees communicate, live, and find food
Bee diversity, biology, nests, and bee hotels
Pollination, nectar, and why bees matter so much
The effects of climate change on bees (and what we can do!)
How to create a native plant garden that supports pollinators
Through play, storytelling, and outdoor exploration, children build community, deepen their connection to nature, and nurture values like teamwork, generosity, empathy, and wonder. They’ll also head home with clear, kid-friendly instructions for planting their own native plant garden—and the excitement to bring it to life!

Beyond bees, kids will also practice:
Kind and respectful communication
Ways to reduce food waste and increase food security
Understanding shared habitats for bees and humans
Simple, empowering actions to fight climate change
Celebrating community, cooperation, and the beautiful web of life
Learning Happens Outdoors Most activities take place outside, where kids can run, play, and meet their other-than-human kin—bees, trees, flowers, and more. Nature becomes the classroom, playground, and teacher all at once.
How We Teach Bee knowledge comes alive through:
Stories where children learn directly from bees and flowers
Songs that are catchy, meaningful, and fun
Outdoor games where kids become bees, flowers, or both
Art, crafts, gardening, and creative projects
Thoughtfully Designed Curriculum The Bees for Peace curriculum includes an easy-to-follow introductory guide for camp counselors, ensuring a smooth and successful experience. Each day features:
